Back to my word pictures.......We just past the 1/3rd marker in our chemo marathon. 8.6 miles out of 26 done. There is still lots of hard work ahead, but it feels good to lift your head and see you've put some ground behind you. We look forward to the party at the finish! Back to running..........
Beyond the Blog:
I get asked often how Sheri is really doing. "She's doing well" I say. The response is usually, "really?" In my best big green Irish ogre accent I say "really, really." (It's a line from Shreck for those without kids.) Then I usually quip something about the blog, like do you read it? The response is almost always yes....and by the ticker at the top of the page, I'd agree with them. It makes my ponder then, why the question? Don't get me wrong here, I like conversing with folks (mostly), I just had to stop and ponder why? Sheri and I talked it over and wanted to say that what you see is what you get. There is nothing we are holding back from this blog. We write down every sniffle, appointment, chemo reaction...you name it. Sorry to disappoint, but there's not much "Beyond the Blog". (That would be a cool title to a book someday!) There are times we wait to confirm something with our doctors before we blog it, but it always makes it to these pages. So if you get the Shreck answer from me, I'm really saying it's all in the blog, really, really. This blog is a God send (Thanks Scott and Michelle!!), not only for you to keep up with us, but for us (read Me) not to have to repeat information time and time again. I'm not a big repeater, ask my kids. I love it when people say, "I read the blog." It says to Sheri and I, I'm praying for you, I care, and keep fighting. You my friends, Rock.

I am so glad you have "the blog"...it helps me to know how to pray and it lets us share this journey with you...many are with you! I thought about you in church yesterday as Matt talked about "word pictures" and God as our warrior. That is my picture of Him for you in the battle with cancer...God IS THE ALL POWERFUL WARRIOR! Looking up :O), Joan
I read the blog!
That's all I was going to say and then Michelle said, "Is that all you're going to say?" I said "Yes". Then she made me feel guilty.
It's awesome to keep up via smile. Thanks for taking the time to let us run in prayer beside you!
Hey guys! I wish I could share the baldness with you. I miss the cool feeling of the pillow at night. I don't think it was Juliana's favorite hair styling of mine though, so there you go. Anyway, keep on keepin' on! -Kev
Know that we appreciate your blog and updates so we can be praying specifically for you over here in Spokane!!! God is doing Amazing things .. . . . and you guys will be the winner in this marathon!!

Love you all
Darcy
We are reading your blog way back in Maryland, and praying and sharing your story with others. I got a link from my sister-in-law who is a good friend of Dr. Steve Hillman.
You are in our prayers and are such an inspiration! Thanks for being such faithful bloggers!
